Twitter is seeking a Senior Researcher to be part of our Advertiser Experience Research Team. Our research helps inspire, design, and build the products that fuel Twitter’s mission to give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers. We have a direct impact on product strategy, roadmaps, and the detailed design of new experiences that help both the biggest brands tell their stories in innovative ways and the smallest businesses fulfill their dreams by connecting with new customers. What You’ll Do

As a Senior Researcher you will help everyone focus on the user/advertiser. In this role, you will create understanding and empathy around advertiser needs, stated and unstated, for your entire product team including designers, product managers, and engineers.

You will do so by championing a advertiser-centered process that integrates advertiser insights and feedback throughout the product development cycle. You will conduct primary research, exploring the behaviors and motivations of our users through methods like field visits, ethnography, surveys and usability tests. Your research will help us create useful, usable, and delightful new products and features for people as well as continually innovating on our existing products. You’ll inspire change at all stages of product development by delivering compelling, written, in-person and visual presentations on your findings.

Above all else, as a senior member you’ll mentor junior members by investing your energy and talents in supporting the career growth and development of the people on your team.

Who You Are

If this sounds like a fit for you, you probably have:

  • Expert understanding and high quality execution of a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and how to synthesize them together
  • Demonstrated success influencing product, engineering and design decisions based on the results of research and through positive relationships you’ve established with - our cross-functional partners
  • Deep understanding and experience executing a user/advertiser centered research process
  • Expertise in conducting research with business customers or advertisers (B2B research experience)
  • Consistently applied research insights to influence product and design decisions
  • Forged strong partnerships with product, engineer and design leaders
  • Deep experience personally conducting both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and experience guiding multiple internal and/or outsourced projects simultaneously
  • A growth mindset that fuels your desire to constantly learn and improve from success and challenges
  • Familiarity with advertising technology industry and product

Min. Requirements

  • 5+ years conducting research in a fast-paced product development environment
  • 2+ years of experience mentoring researchers
  • BA/BS or Graduate degree in Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field
