Web/Mobile User Interface Designer
Enterprise-level web company, Daily Insight Group, seeks a full-time, super talented User Interface Designer to join our team of creatives located in Portland, Oregon. While we are a healthy, established division of a larger company (NameMedia), we operate with a small-company feel.
We are looking for a talented Web and App Designer to work with our growing product development team. We want a designer who is creative, artistic but still understands the need to communicate in a consumer-based environment. We are looking for someone who is independent, resourceful and is excited about user interface programming.
We know that you spend a lot of hours at work and you had better like the people, place and time you spend at work or it’s not worth the paycheck. We really want the people on our team to respect each other and check their egos at the door.
Requirements
- - Has a portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of web design best practices and an ability to craft unique user experiences
- - Has some mobile and/or touchscreen UX/UI examples
- - Is up to date on current web design trends and software tools
- - Professional web design experience or strong examples of work to-date
- - Strong graphic, typography and web design skills
- - Ability to prototype/wireframe UX flows in Adobe Fireworks or Illustrator
- - UX and UI experience
- - Interested in utilizing new technologies to create better results (such as web fonts, HTML5, CSS3)
- - Be well organized, detail oriented and a problem solver
- - Adobe Suite (CS4 or 5) Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator
- - Knowledge of HTML + CSS (Javascript & JQuery a plus)
- - Uses social media and consumes content on web and smart phone devices
