Web Editor needed for digital platform of groundbreaking youth project
Wanted: Web Editor to lead the digital platform of an Olympic Legacy project that is going to change the lives of thousands of young people.
Livity is a socially responsible youth communications agency that works with young people to produce co-created campaigns for the causes and brands we believe in. We share our offices with young people every day: a methodology that fuels our campaigns and helps hundreds of young people into work or education each year.
Since last year, Livity and Channel 4 have been delivering somewhereto_, a key project of the Cultural Olympiad. somewhereto_ is all about enabling and empowering 16 to 25 year-olds across the UK to find spaces to do the things that they love, by working with them to secure access to spaces they need but don’t have – whatever their thing and wherever they want to do it.
We are looking for an exceptional, technically savvy and creative Web Editor to take the helm of somewhereto_’s unique and powerful digital platform, with the aim of making it the ‘go-to’ place for young people looking for spaces and inspiration. You will be a strong believer in the power of content, and skilled in creating, editing, uploading and seeding it to maximum effect – grabbing attention and engaging both young people and space-holders.
Role will be a 12 month contract initially. Closing date 5.30pm Monday 21st March 2011.
