1185 Design, an award-winning Graphic Design Agency in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a Web Developer with expertise in Web and Multimedia technology. The candidate will be an integral part of a seasoned team of programmers in a growing and evolving Multimedia Department.

On-site freelance to permanent hire.

Requirements:

-Five years of disciplined experience in the internet industry. Agency experience preferred.

-Ability to simultaneously prioritize multiple projects, including client expectations and schedules.

-Expertise in PHP, SQL, JavaScript, Flash Actionscript, XML, HTML, DHTML, CSS and Database design.

-Strong scripting skills (Javascript, CGI, PERL, Shell, etc).

-An understanding of various backend technologies (IIS/UNIX/Apache).

-Knowledge of web production process (code management, build process, testing).

-Knowledge of web standards and implementation of SEO.

-Ability to troubleshoot and debug your own and/or team code.

-Ensure integrity and quality of all deliverables.

-Experience with Content Management Systems.

-A strong understanding of design tools. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, Flash), as well as Micosoft Office Suite (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

-Strong organizational and management skills.

-Ability to envision creative ways to leverage online ideas and technologies.

-Keen organization skills, time management and attention to detail a must.

-Proven commitment and follow-through on projects.

-Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast paced environment.

-Excellent communication skills.

-Video, Animation, and 3D skills are a plus.
