Birst is a business intelligence start-up located in downtown San Francisco.

We’re currently looking for an experienced freelance web developer and CMS expert. You’ll be responsible for implementing a new corporate website using the CMS of your choice. Be ready to explain the key benefits of your choice CMS after learning more about our project. You’ll work closely with a front-end developer, but a solid set of jQuery and AJAX skills are a must have.

This is an intensive 4-6 week project followed by ongoing part-time work performing enhancements. Working remotely via Skype is OK.

Requirements:

  • Highly skilled with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and at least one CMS
  • You put care into designing and developing powerful, user friendly CMS admin interfaces
  • Experience deploying secure, robust, and high-performance CMS driven web sites on a LAMP stack

Pluses:

  • Active contributor to open source projects (especially a CMS)
  • An active GitHub account
  • An awesome portfolio and/or plenty of links to websites you’ve built
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in CS or a related field
