We are seeking a highly creative online graphic designer who can combine a strong artistic sense and technical skill to create and implement compelling designs that educate, engage, and persuade our clients and the community.
You have a passion for the latest in User Interface design and live for current web design trends and techniques.
Keep bookmarks on websites and interactive design that inspire you and like to keep current on new innovations.
Work well with teams internally and externally to communicate design concepts and ideas through diagrams, mock-ups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
Work well independently but enjoy the collaborative process of working with a creative team. Are interested in receiving and giving feedback in a team environment.
Possess an advanced understanding of design principles, typography, and page layout, and have an impeccable eye for detail.
Interested in contributing to a productive and energetic workplace and are a team player.
Familiar with the web redesign process including the latest technological tools to enhance and streamline the process.
Are comfortable adjusting photos and icons to meet project needs or can create your own if none exist.
Strong creative instincts and willingness to go beyond comfort zones to deliver fresh work.
While having a high standard for craftsmanship you also feel comfortable juggling multiple projects and tight turnarounds.
You’ll find the job most rewarding if you have the following capabilities:
Design Tools- Proficient with Design Tools including Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator. Familiarity with motion graphics (After Effects) a plus.
Web Experience- Ability to fluidly code and execute designs online and understands the nuances of CSS and HTML. Some development experience and troubleshooting skills required. Familiarity integrating content management systems is a plus.
User Interface Design Experience – Interest in information architecture and knowledge of enhancing navigation with large database of materials.
Technologically savvy – Experience integrating rich media, social media content, and embedding videos online. Comfortable working and troubleshooting in OSX.
Analytical – Experience with web analytics tools, SEO, and collecting data to inform design and refine approach.
BA/BFA or equivalent training or experience in interactive arts and web design.
