Lead the web and interactive design direction for NJIT’s websites and other digital initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site professional job.
What will I do?
Develop wireframes, iterative design mockups, creative comps, prototypes, use cases, and workflows. Establish design patterns for NJIT. Employ user-centered design methodologies. Create graphic design elements and treatments. Optimize web design and workflow to improve the user experience. Create and edit production code that is standards-compliant, cross-browser and mobile friendly, and elegant.
Collaborate with other members of our Strategic Communications team (e.g., content creators, web developers, CMS admins). Code dynamic templates in our CMS to assemble final web-served HTML/CSS markup.

The New Jersey Institute of Technology is a science and technology research university educating 9,000 students. The Office of Strategic Communications runs web, print, advertising, video, PR, social networking, and more for NJIT. We are 10 miles outside of NYC into NJ on multiple mass transit lines.
