We are looking for a talented and motivated web designer/developer to help us shape the future of public education. The ideal candidate will be well versed in semantic web standards using light HTML markup, CSS, and content management systems, especially Joomla. Candidates should possess strong marketing, visual design, and analytical skills. If you love to solve real world business problems and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, we are looking for you. This is an opportunity to join a small team at the early stages and make a big difference.

Responsibilities will include pro-actively maintaining and developing our Joomla-based corporate website which includes e-commerce, membership, and document management, working closely with the marketing team on email campaigns, SEO and SEM, and working with our technology solutions team designing and coding the UI for web applications.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with web user interface development
  • Graphic design/layout skills
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS
  • Experience with JavaScript/jQuery
  • Expertise with cross browser compatibility issues
  • Experience with Joomla or other CMS
  • Experience with Email marketing and analysis
  • Google Analytics, SEO, SEM experience
  • Passionate attention to details
  • Experience or desire to work in an Agile environment

Experience with Ruby on Rails, SAAS and HAML a plus.
