The Visual Designer is responsible for the creation of visual brand assets and web/interactive experiences to advance Match.com’s strategic initiatives. He/she will collaborate with marketing, communications, programming, and information architecture professionals to design and implement state-of-the-art solutions. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record designing web interfaces that are as aesthetically pleasing as they are usable.
Provide design input and ideas for creative and production projects.
Provide design and execution for web pages, web page elements, online banners, HTML emails, site promotions, partner channels, print collateral and other site features/enhancements.
Support project engagement teams in the strategic positioning and high-level scoping and estimation of projects.
Promote our creative culture through educating, inspiring and developing the group’s skills and determination to execute great interactive work.
Lead projects under the supervision of the creative director and senior team members.
Present creative concepts and capabilities.
Provide rationale on effectiveness of creative.
Co-monitor results, and make suggestions for improvement.
Attend educational workshops to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
All other duties as assigned.
2-5 years relevant industry experience as an art director or designer engaged in conceptual development, execution, presentation and innovations on interactive creative assignments reflected in a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design.
Knowledge of key design programs (Photoshop) on MAC platform.
Basic understanding of information architecture and its application in UI Design.
Working knowledge of how to translate wireframes into design.
Enjoys and supports working on a team.
Superior communication skills, organized and great time management.
Confident and capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
The desire to mentor junior talent and support a learning organization.
