IndustryNext is looking for a Visual Designer who is passionate about designing attractive and effective user experiences for web and custom software applications across different devices and platforms. The Visual Designer will be part of the creative team, report to the Creative Lead and work across multiple disciplines to design award-winning user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to brainstorming during conceptual phase of a project
• Execute design solutions that are “on brand” and meet client business objectives
• Produce mood boards, design sketches, digital page layouts, interactive prototypes, and other interactive design deliverables
• Closely collaborate with other team members including project managers, programmers, writers and clients
• Work on multiple projects at once for different clients and mediums (i.e. web, touch screens, interactive TV etc.)
• Present ideas, concepts, and final deliverables to internal teams
• Document design solutions and design patterns using industry standard methods & design software

Requirements:

• B.A. or B.F.A in Design or related field
• 2+ years of experience at an Interactive Agency, Design Studio, consultant role or similar
• Solid understanding of the process for designing intuitive site functionality, site architecture, user interfaces, and global navigation systems
• Demonstrate expertise and passion in typography, layout, and color
• Extensive experience designing user experiences for web and software applications for Fortune 500 companies
• Experience in the Information, Media and Entertainment industries
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Able to negotiate effectively with the internal team and represent design decisions when needed
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment while also being able to focus on independent work
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to incorporate input from all levels within an organization
• Proficiency in Adobe CS, HTML and CSS
• Experience with Flash, After Effects, Final Cut or Premiere a definite plus
