Visual Designer - Mobile
We are a Kleiner-backed, stealth-mode start up looking for a visual designer rockstar for mobile applications. We need someone who can come into the office (located in Menlo Park) for 10-15 hours a week. Specialists need not apply, we want someone who has mastered multiple design-related skill sets from wireframes to visual design. You’ll be working closely with our killer team of marketing and programming heros to design the next great mobile applications.

Visual Designer, Mobile
Ideal starting date: Immediate
Education:
College degree in Visual/Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design and/or related field preferred
Experience requirements:
Strong understanding of usability issues with regard to interactive and mobile products, particularly applications
*Strong conceptual skills and proven ability to create visual graphics and designs that are leveraged across mobile, web, and other interactive platforms
*Proficiency using visual design tools such as Visio, Photoshop, and Illustrator
*Experience developing creative work for interactive entertainment websites, mobile applications or interactive creative agencies
*Demonstrable application design skills with ability to show relevant work
Ideally wireless handset technology understanding (iPhone and Android applications, WAP, and mobile Browser-based solutions)
*Proficiency in interactive prototyping and development using Macromedia Flash, HTML, and or XML preferred but not necessary
*Diagramming skills for creation of application site maps and wireframes desired
*Experience with animation desired
Role & responsibilities:
Front-end design and UI design of mobile applications used for mobile consumer applications
*Production of graphics assets formatted to work across multiple mobile devices
*Work in the office – REQUIRED
*Production of marketing materials and other graphic requirements
