JOB DESCRIPTION
The Serious Business UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating compelling and intuitive user interfaces for our online social games. The UI/UX Designer must have prior experience designing interfaces for games and a viewable portfolio of such work. This person will be working very closely with the Game Designers/Producers as well as with the Creative team. This person must be able to design interfaces that will ultimately be developed using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Flash. Working knowledge of such technologies is required. The UI/UX Designer not only needs to be talented and proficient in Adobe’s Creative Suite of tools, he/she must also be able to conceptualize game features.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Definition and design of user interfaces to be implemented using CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and Flash (AS3).
• Definition and design of a game’s user experience (flows, data presentation, etc.)
• Implementation of design using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript provide feedback and guidance on game dynamics
• Generate proposals for new games and new game features conceptualization and implementation of thematic elements of a game interface directly with game designers/producers and the creative team

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of user interface and user experience design for games
• 2-3 years experience with illustration tools such as Adobe’s Creative Suite (specifically, Fireworks)
• 2-3 years experience building interfaces using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
• Ability to quickly prototype and iterate towards production-level quality
• Must show a portfolio of work
