User Experience/Information Architect

Giant is looking for a best-in-class User Experience/Information Architect to join our team. We are looking for someone with an ability to lead the project team and the client through a user-centered design process to develop meaningful experience concepts, and to execute on those concepts. The ideal person is a user experience professional devoted to creating innovative, clever solutions for the digital medium.

Responsibilities

• Identify needs, tasks, and goals of target audience groups, with strong ability to conceptualize how they might be addressed in interactive concepts and functional components

• Develop research-driven user personas and scenarios to focus project design

• Express user experience concepts through scenarios, visualizations, and prototypes (paper or digital) to demonstrate how our core creative ideas adopt interactivity, navigation and other digital attributes

• Identify, sell, and implement research (as appropriate: interactive design, immersive, concept testing, usability/heuristic, contextual inquiry, etc) to strengthen the impact of digital creative

• Develop appropriate sitemaps, data or transaction flows, sketches, scenarios, wireframes, navigation models, and other tools

• Document designs and concepts as detailed project specifications

• Participate in client and internal presentations as needed

• Contribute to client proposals as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as interaction designer, experience designer, and/or information architect

• Experience applying interactive design principles across proliferation of device types such as mobile, touch, and social interactions (as well as devices that may not yet exist)

• Degree in design, human-computer interaction, anthropology, behavioral science, or similar preferred

• Working knowledge of a range of design tools such as Freehand, Illustrator,

OmniGraffle, Photoshop, Visio, and InDesign

• Experience bringing different forms or research to inform digital design decisions

• Experience designing interfaces, taxonomies, and metadata frameworks as well as templates for content management systems

• Passion to act as evangelist/advocate for experience design, both inside agency and externally with clients
