User Experience Designer
FreshBooks is looking for a hands-on interaction designer, who has been working in the industry for a few years and is looking to unleash themselves on one of the world’s most loved web applications. Sound like you? Are you ready to apply the passion you have for design, in a place where it will be fostered and appreciated? Maybe you’re thinking about moving (back?) to Toronto, but aren’t sure about what your job prospects might be, or don’t know anyone locally. You know FreshBooks though, and you know we’re open to meeting smart and talented people who might be interested in joining us.
A design job at FreshBooks isn’t really the type of design job you would get elsewhere in Toronto. We’re not a bank, or an insurance company, or a “fancy-pants strategic creativitorium agency”. We know that your type lacks oxygen in those kinds of places. You need some breathing room. We’re a software-as-a-service company who sets people up to be themselves, and bring themselves to their work, yet be a part of something bigger than themselves. You will have very little supervision and work mostly autonomously, but also have a team of crack Design and Development superstars at your disposal to bounce ideas off of, and brainstorm with. You will be given monster problems to solve, with little restriction on how you should solve them. You’ll help evolve our kickass web app that everyone loves, our website, and just about anything that involves customers interacting with FreshBooks.
We’re looking for you, if you’ve designed web apps, know CSS, and have an interest in making the the world more awesome for freelancers and business owners who want a painless billing system.
