Public Zone is an award-winning digital agency that delivers top-notch websites, apps and strategies for clients that do good. If you’re talented and want to do some interesting UX work that makes a difference – then we want you!
We’re looking for a UX designer with research experience to join our team of passionate, smart, do-gooders. You’ll be working across a wide range of fun projects – all of which focus on improving people’s lives. This could be helping major charities like the National Trust build support for their campaigns, using digital to deliver key government services, or providing social enterprises with the tools they need to succeed.
You need to have a passion for – and significant experience in – putting users at the heart of projects. This must include experience of first hand research and user-centred design practices – usability testing, depth interviews, persona, user journeys, wireframes, etc. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of usability knowledge and know that in our world accessibilty doesn’t mean ramps!
We like our UX designers to be involved throughout the life of our projects so versatility is key. An ability to think creatively is vital and if you’ve got visual skills then all the better (but not critical). Most important though is that you love to find out what makes people tick, and can turn that into great wireframes.
There will be opportunities for career progression to senior UX designer in the first 6 months for candidates quickly showing an aptitude for the role and commitment to what Public Zone is trying to achieve.
