We are a stealth mode startup looking for a web designer to help with the first round of design work. We are looking for a professional web designer with good a understanding of responsive, modern and standards-based design. He or she should be able to create new designs and redesign and refine our existing site and wireframes. This designer would potentially assist us at various phases of the design process, including:

  • creating overall concepts for site designs;
  • Refining existing website and page designs;
  • Developing user experience;
  • Adapting designs for tablet, web and creating html email designs to compliment website services

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of hand-coded HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive layouts and web typography.
  • Demonstrated understanding of standards-based coding and browser compatibility issues
  • A portfolio of high-quality work

We are Building an event planning and management application that serves users with relevant local search results powered by Natural Language Processing and built in Machine Learning algorithms. The stack is built on a combo of relational and NoSQL DBs layered with a powerful java stack exposing REST API to the web layer. The web layer is all javascript, JSON, HTML and CSS.
