Vital Business Media, an online-only B2B media company, is looking for a Technical Producer. Our portfolio is rapidly growing and is in need of production expertise to implement and support a wide variety of online products. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the creation and modification of HTML templates used to produce websites, email newsletters, directories, data products, and online events. This position will also be responsible for responding to support requests relating to the production of all web products, configuring internal and external production tools to respond to clients’ needs, and defining and implementing enhancements to internal production tools.

• Work with designers to ensure that visual design accurately supports the information design
• Contribute visual design services to internal non–project-related marketing and internal company needs
Create cross-browser semantic markup that reflects current W3C guidelines.
• Produce interactive prototypes, clickthrough code that conveys system flow.
• Produce final, web-optimized image slices
• Final front-end code. Includes HTML, Javascript, Flash, CSS & other technologies.

Requirements & Experience
This position requires the ability to manage tight deadlines, quick turnarounds and multitasking between various projects.
Have 2-3 years in Photoshop (Cutting up PSD’s, creation a real bonus), Illustrator, and Flash

1. Have 2 – 3 years semantic and valid (X)HTML and hand coded CSS/Tables experience. 2. Cross Browser CSS 3. JavaScript 4. Experience and knowledge of Internet development, systems, protocols 5. Demonstrated experience with automated content management systems and html templates (Drupal a plus) 6. Solid understanding of browser compatibility issues. 7. Practical experience in customer service is a plus.

You should possess creative problem solving skills, the ability to multitask and be able to switch rapidly between projects in a fast paced environment. Manage own project workflow and assure the highest level of quality and compatibility of web products.

This position is located in Manhattan and requires a bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field and at least three years relevant experience. Demonstrated design, development and support skills are required for this position. Local candidates are preferred as relocation assistance will not be available.
