New Signature (Washington, DC)

New Signature’s full-service creative division provides branding, design, interactive and advertising expertise under one roof. New Signature’s creative division combines strategic thinking, distinctive design and emerging technologies to deliver successful projects that consistently break new ground.

We are looking to add a talented graphic designer and front end developer to our creative services division. This position would have the opportunity to work directly with clients on a diverse set of projects ranging from branding initiatives, print design, website and user experience design, and front end website development.

Skill Requirements

• Strong graphic design (print, digital and interactive) and user interface design experience.
Front end develpment expertise, including experience with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, GWT, AJAX, DOM, ExtJS, Blueprint and/or JSON.
• Understanding of design principles and information architecture.
• Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite 4, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Fireworks and/or Dreamweaver.
• Experience with CMS and blog platforms, such as Wordpress, Drupal or eZPublish.
• Experience with PHP, Java, Python, .NET, or other programming/scripting language a plus.
• Experience with revision control system like SVN or CVS.
• Understanding and experience using databases a plus.

Education

BA/ BFA degree or equivalent desired.

High school diploma or GED required.
