InfoReliance is a medium-sized, very successful IT solutions firm located in Fairfax, VA providing custom technical solutions to commercial and federal clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic area. Position Description:

The Sr. Web GUI/Interaction Designer position is paying a highly competitive base salary plus personal bonus plan of up to 10% of salary, and an immediate, full benefits package including matched 401K. Salary open to negotiation.

We are expanding our Web/ GUI interaction design team due to a steady increase of business, both in the website/application and portal arenas. Position is located at our HQ in Fairfax, VA and is permanent, W2 only, as our employee.

Requirements:

InfoReliance is looking for an individual with a strong knowledge of information architecture and usability in addition to exceptional design and UI skills. Must be US Citizen. Job functions/requirements will include:

Must have 5 + years:

Designing user-focused graphic interface for large-scale Website/Portal/Applications (and an on-line portfolio showing this work). Experience required:

• Gathering requirements
• Creating color palettes
• Designing/presenting comps
• Developing clickable HTML prototypes
• Cut-up and coding designs using standard compliant code including tabless-design (this must be very strong).
• Developing Information Architecture:

Must have 5+ years organizing large bodies of information and creating site structure including:

• Creating wireframes (will need samples to bring)
• Creating user profiles & user scenarios
• Developing style guides
• Verifying sites are Section 508 compliant
• Collaborating with technical team on UI design
• Making formal presentations to clients

Other “Must Have” skills:

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written, communication, organization, presentation skills
• Expert knowledge of usability principles, issues and techniques
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various GUI software packages (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, DreamWeaver).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, and PowerPoint
• Familiar with Flash
• 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces.
• 5+ years of experience performing IA functions
• Candidate must be able to perform all responsibilities under fast paced conditions, being able to multi-task and prioritize, and work with minimum supervision

Nice To Have:

BA/BS or MA/MS (in design or a related field highly preferred)
