Sr. Visual Designer
Causes.com is looking for a talented senior-level designer to create fun and elegant web experiences.
Founded in 2007, Causes is the world’s largest platform for activism and philanthropy. We’re among the top 100 most popular sites in the U.S. with over 140 million users, and yet we’re a team of only 25 people. Our office is located in downtown San Francisco and we offer all kinds of good times, great perks, and friendly dogs.
Despite our do-gooder mission, you won’t catch the lingering scent of patchouli in the hallway. Causes is a tech company focused on providing smart solutions to tough problems. Working in partnership with our world-class engineers, our Product and Design team craft interfaces and experiences that empower individuals to change the world.
This is a rare opportunity for a designer who wants to make a huge impact. The work you do here directly affects whether a village in Kenya can access clean water or whether schoolchildren in China have a roof over their head. There’s over 500,000 causes on our site, and you’ll help them achieve their goals.
We’re a small team, so you’ll have a lot of impact right away. You’ll join the Product and Design team, and work closely with other members of the Design and Product teams. You’re great at collaborating with a small team, then can go off and create something great without any hand-holding. You work smartly and quickly, and spend your spare time thinking of new ways to excite and delight our users. You enjoy getting out of the office and talking to real people. Despite your immense talent, you’re able to keep your ego in check. You feel compelled to use your design powers for good.
