Senior Web Designer
Webfactory was established in late 1994. Webfactory is a wholly owned Irish company with an award winning track record within the Internet and New Media sector. Our clients include Renault, Bord Gáis, Aviva, Irishtimes.com, Johnson & Johnson and Unilever to name a few. Reporting to the Creative Director, you must be an independent, self-motivated, creative professional with a passion for interactive design and a vast understanding of online content. This fast-paced position requires an individual who thrives in a professional environment, is detail-oriented and is dedicated to completing projects efficiently and on schedule. This is not a web developer position and your application must contain sample URLs of your work.
B.A. or higher in Graphic Design or Web Design preferred.
We create a variety of sites including brand micro-sites, shopping/information portals, educational and service sites. A strong knowledge of interface design and layout is essential. High end Photoshop skills are critical as well as a good working knowledge of HTML. Advanced technical skills are not required as we have a development team.
The ability to build a clear, professional brand presence is important. The tasks may include logo design, creating brand guidelines etc..
The majority of our sites are geared towards financial profitability. We need professional, clean, functional web-sites enhanced by their design. Within this you will also need the ability to effectively manage expectations.
This is essential. We are a small company so if you love the challenge and diversity of a small studio (namely problem solving, project management, developing brands and designing all aspects of the web project) we want to meet you.
• Minimum 4 years experience working within a similar role.
• Superb typography, color, and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate within in a networked team
• Prepared to travel regionally as required
• Management responsibility, not just design
Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks are essential. Have experience with Flash (including ActionScript). Knowledge of HTML and Dreamweaver beneficial.
