We are seeking a Web Designer/Developer responsible for establishing web-standard CSS framework and style sheets for a complex, information rich web application. This role will suit a curious, creative, innovative, conceptual thinker, happy to work in a fast-paced environment and remain open and positive. Responsibilities will include interaction and visual design of new features and enhancements to existing features.

Minimum Requirements
High level of proficiency in CSS, XHTML and JavaScript
Experienced in Photoshop, Illustrator
Experience in Flash / Flex / Silverlight
Experience with browser independent designs and cross-browser issues (IE, Firefox, Safari etc) on all platforms
Knowledge of web standards (W3C and s508) / best practices for interaction design
Demonstrated understanding of fundamental design principles (portfolio)
Strong time-management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Excellent Problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build consensus and justify design decisions

Preferred Education, Experience and Capabilities
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in fine art, graphic design or related field (or equivalent industry training / experience), with five years work experience
Four years experience on large complex web applications
Awareness of user-centered design principles
Awareness / experience in Agile development environment
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, ASP/ASP.NET, JSP, PHP
Familiarity with Flash Video or Action Script
