A well-funded startup in the St. Louis metro east is seeking a senior user-interface designer to help build a leading semantic web application. We have the development team assembled; alpha product is finished, and we have started the layout requirements – now we need you. You are an expert interface designer who will create the interface and ensure our application utilizes the latest navigation controls to offer to best user experience possible.
We are building on the following platform: Windows Server 2003, C# ASP.NET 3.5, SQL Server 2005
- Who are we looking for?
You have extensive experience with user-interface design and are available to move to the St. Louis area or are already located here. While we prefer a full-time on-site role, we will entertain off-site work if your experience level would allow this arrangement to provide results.
We are also open to hiring a design firm – so if this project is of interest to you please contact us.
- Responsibilities
For your first project, you will be responsible for delivering the full set of compositions for the web application’s front-end user interface. You will be working with a project lead and two supporting mid-level designers (not hired yet – have someone in mind?) Development will be handled in a highly phased approach.
Future projects may include leadership responsibilities if you show interest and are a good fit for those roles.
- Requirements
Great designer, programming experience a plus (not required), above all a very strong portfolio in applicable projects.
- Pay, Benefits, and Duration
Full time employment at fair market value adjusted based on your needs and experience. Full-time position would include a competitive benefits package. Relocation expenses available. This is a long term employment opportunity.
- Environment
You will be working with a small group of individuals with a track record of success. The environment is very open where your input and ideas will be encouraged. We are laid-back and enjoy each other’s company; tirelessly focused on delivering quickly and effectively.
- Why should you want to be a part of this?
This is a project involving leveraging the Semantic Web; you will have a great opportunity to be a part of something completely new in the industry. We have also identified the user-interface as a top priority for success – therefore you will have a full arsenal of resources and top-level support to help you build a truly great user experience.
