Senior Front End Web Engineer

The Senior Front End Engineer role works both on customer-facing, highly visible products & interfaces, as well as internal projects that add value to the overall business. You’ll work within an agile (Scrum & KanBan) product management environment to plan & track work in progress, & contribute to the improvement of the development process. Front End Engineers at AWeber utilize all aspects of the modern Javascript ecosystem, focusing on clean, well-engineered solutions. You’ll be expected to evaluate & learn the best tools for a given problem, taking into consideration all aspects of operating in an environment devoted to continuous delivery of new features &value to the customer. Example projects include developing & maintaining proxy APIs, implementing new ways to graphically present statistical data, & iterating on our continuous integration deploy system.   • Extensive knowledge of the Javascript language
  • Solid HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Experience with using jQuery & a JavaScript MV* framework
  • Familiarity with modern client-side testing tools & methodologies
  • Great verbal & written communication


  • Experience using Node.js in production deployments
  • Backbone.js, underscore.js
  • CoffeeScript
  • Express.js
  • Experience with a client- or server-side templating engine such as handlebars.js
  • Experience with a NoSQL database such as MongoDB or Redis
