Senior Digital Designer
The company: Atticmedia is a top 25 NMA company specialising in interactive broadband content. We’re looking for a talented, creative and experienced Senior Digital Designer to work on some of our most important and exciting projects. We are a well structured and mature company of about 40 people with a wide variety of challenging, cutting edge and high production value projects.
The role: This role is hands on and involves working closely with the creative director, project managers and clients to take the lead in answering client briefs, designing high-end, immersive, interactive websites for some of the UK’s largest entertainment and educational brands.
The candidate: You will have a strong background in new media with an abundance of ideas and vision, along with the strength of character and design skills to deliver to, and above, expectations. You will bring to the role:
- An outstanding portfolio of work
- The ability to express ideas eloquently, both verbally and visually
- A solid comprehension of information design and content development for different audiences and platforms
- A strong understanding of Flash, HTML, web standards, information architecture and user experience
- Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and InDesign
- Excellent understanding of typography for print and online mediums
- The ability to take direction from senior members of staff whilst also being able to lead and mentor junior members of the design team
- Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to clients
- A passion for emerging interactive technologies and their implementation
- A design degree or relevant qualification
Other details: You’ll be required to work on site in our canal-side offices in Islington, London. You must already have the right to work in the UK. Our standard office hours are a very civilised 10-6pm. Salary/package: generous and negotiable
