Freelance – Project

We are a Sequoia backed privately held company looking for a visual designer rockstar for our transformational Web application driving self-service for consumers. Location independent – though small plus if person is located in either Silicon Valley, Bangalore, or London. We are looking for someone who has extensive experience with consumer web applications driving increased engagement; interaction and click through. Candidate
should be master of multiple design-related skill sets from wireframes to visual design – specific experience in the visual display of data an added plus.

You will be working closely with our A-team of product management, marketing and programming stars to help end-consumers help themselves on the web.

Specific Project Description:

You will create a range of UI options for our core set of customer journeys – including graphics, interactions, decision flow, data presentation, user and
client-side interaction and outcomes and dispositions.

Starting Date: Immediate

Anticipated Duration: 4 to 8 weeks

Experience: Strong understanding of:

1) What catches web consumers/visitors attention and engages them to interact

2) What reassures and engages web consumers/visitors when they are searching for info or help

3) Usability issues with interactive web applications

Proficiency using and existing access to visual design tools: Visio, photoshop, Illustrator, Creative Studio, or equivalent

Experience developing creative work for interactive websites or interactive creative agencies

Demonstrable application design skills with ability to show relevant work

Proficiency in interactive prototyping and development using Macromedia Flash, HTML, and or XML preferred

Diagramming skills for creation of application site maps and wireframes desired.

Experience with animation desired.

Education:

College degree in Visual/Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction; Interaction Design or other related field preferred.
