Part Time Web Designers! Join our Boutique Creative Agency.
North Street, a small but mighty Manhattan-based creative boutique, is seeking a part-time web designer interested in working on-site in our Lower Manhattan offices three to four days per week. We’re looking for someone who will feel right at home with our casual, laid back vibe and who possesses the following skills:
• Candidates must have expert knowledge of the browser space (desktop and mobile), the challenges and advantages of designing for it, and how to design around cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Candidates must be up on current web design trends and how to execute them, and must be familiar with cutting edge browser technologies and their impact on design.
• Photoshop expertise is a must. Knowledge of the entire Adobe Suite is a plus, but not required.
• The ability to code HTML/CSS and JavaScript is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of Wordpress is a plus, but not required.
• The ability to design for print is a plus, but not required.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn (and maybe even teach!) on the job are very important.
The person who joins our team in this position will typically be responsible for designing full websites (desktop, tablet, phone) and working with our in-house developers to accurately execute them into the browser.
Days and hours are flexible. Pay is hourly and commensurate with experience. Start date is ASAP.
