Multimedia Manager
1185 Design, an award-winning Graphic Design Agency in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a Multimedia Manager with expertise in technology, creative services, client relations, strategy, and project management. The candidate will be responsible for leading a group of seasoned programmers in a growing and evolving Multimedia Department, as well as oversee a myriad of web and interactive projects.
Freelance to permanent hire.
Requirements:
-Five+ years of disciplined project management experience in the internet industry. Agency experience preferred.
-Ability to simultaneously manage and prioritize multiple projects, including client expectations, schedules, and budgets, from inception to completion.
-Expertise in PHP, SQL, JavaScript, Flash Actionscript, XML, HTML, DHTML, CSS and Database design.
-Strong scripting skills (Javascript, CGI, PERL, Shell, etc).
-An understanding of various backend technologies (IIS/UNIX/Apache).
-Knowledge of web production process (code management, build process, testing).
-Knowledge of web standards and implementation of SEO.
-Ability to troubleshoot and debug your own and/or team code.
-Coordinate quality assurance testing. Ensure integrity and quality of all deliverables.
-Experience with Content Management Systems.
-A strong understanding of design tools. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, Flash), as well as Micosoft Office Suite (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
-Strong organizational and management skills.
-Ability to envision creative ways to leverage online ideas and technologies.
-Keen organization skills, time management and attention to detail a must.
-Proven commitment and follow-through on projects.
-Strong documentation skills. Experience with project plans and business requirements.
-Ability to not only manage core Multimedia team members, but also coordinate with Creative team members.
-Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast paced environment.
-Excellent communication skills and effective presentation skills.
