Manager, Online Strategies
The National School Boards Association (NSBA) seeks a highly conscientious and experienced professional to join a fast-paced, “on demand” environment within its Public Advocacy and Communications team. This position will advance the online strategy of NSBA’s website, as well as its auxiliary online assets, through timely posting and positioning of online content, in order to enhance organizational goals and drive communications and public advocacy efforts.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field with professional experience in content development for online platform; strong, clear, and persuasive web writing skills; experience with open source content management systems and association management systems; experience in developing and managing online marketing and advertising campaigns; excellent proofreading, time management, project management, oral, and written communications skills; proven ability to organize user centric online information; experience creating content for lead generation and content marketing for SEO; demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, while remaining detail oriented and focused on deadlines; understanding of graphic design and the interplay between textual and visual elements; a strong understanding of web trends, technologies, and email campaigns; ability to analyze web reports, trends, traffic, etc.; ability to collaborate well with staff at all levels and in a team environment, and to work effectively in both a lead and support role.
Drupal experience is preferred.
