Position is on-site within an extremely prestigious client team. Must be U.S. citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.

Rock Creek Strategic Marketing, a branding and communications firm in Chevy Chase, MD, is seeking full-time Interactive Art Director. The ideal candidate is a talented, experienced, and well-rounded creative professional capable of conceiving and executing great work for online projects. The art director must demonstrate the ability to keep multiple projects on schedule without compromising quality, and be a hands-on producer who continuously follows through with projects.

Candidates should have at least 5-10 years of professional experience designing content-based websites. You should be comfortable working from wireframes and creating layered design. The ability to code standards compliant HTML/CSS from your designs is a huge plus, understanding of how a site is coded and what is feasible from a design standpoint is required.

Core Competencies

-Expert proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator

-Comprehensive understanding of cross-platform browser capabilities

-Strong conceptual thinking – both visual and interactive

-Knowledge of interactive design concepts, wireframes and user flow diagrams

-Knowledge of typographical, print, motion graphic, and interaction design skills

-A strong understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, user interfaces, and navigation

-Strong organization and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines and changing needs

-Experience with Drupal a plus
