Interaction Designer

Minimum Requirements:
3+ years of experience designing usable, consumer-oriented interfaces
Portfolio of work
Ability to create interaction models and user interface mock-ups ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to high-fidelity prototypes
Ability to create iterative prototypes rapidly
Demonstrated ability to document interaction designs
Solid understanding of principles of interaction design and user interface design
Thorough understanding of web technology and desktop software norms
Willingness to experiment with new interactions and designs
Knowledge of fundamental design principles and disciplines that affect typography, color use, animation, composition, use of space, distribution of information, etc.
Excellent writing and verbal skills
Ability to understand and communicate complex system and design concepts quickly
Ability to build consensus and justify decisions
Strong presentation skills
Excellent time-management, multi-tasking ability, and the ability to prioritize
Solid understanding of CSS, HTML, XML, Javascript and Ajax
Experience with Ruby on Rails, Flash, Silverlight, or similar technologies
Knowledge of core web graphics tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fireworks
Preferred Education, Experience, and Capabilities:
Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design or related field or equivalent experience
Experience designing or developing Web 2.0 applications
Experience conducting usability tests
Experience with agile development
