Vanguard, one of the world’s largest investment management companies and a recognized employer of choice, seeks a senior information architect to provide information architect services for Vanguard’s web applications. In this position, you will specify how users will find and use information in the site by defining its organization, navigation, labeling, page frameworks, and searching systems.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
-Providing information architect services for Vanguard’s web applications.
-Defining site functionality, organization and navigation solutions, and participating in research efforts to identify user goals and tasks.
-Developing user interface architecture strategy and design principles documents and supporting materials.
-Conducting architecture reviews and monitoring project team compliance.
-Providing project management services for architect projects.
-Analyzing usage data to plan for future site changes.

The ideal candidate should possess:
-Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience in human/computer interaction, library/information science, information management or design, or technical communications. Graduate degree preferred.
-Five years experience as an Information Architect or User Experience Practitioner for large scale websites.
-Advanced knowledge of user interface design practices and concepts.
-Knowledge of information technology principles.
-Advanced knowledge of one or more IT platforms
-Advanced knowledge of HTML, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office Suite, and web browsers.
-Strong communication, persuasion, and analytical skills.
-Experience applying data analysis to make site improvements.
-Financial services industry experience preferred.
