Dada Entertainment, a market leader in the direct-to-consumer entertainment space, is seeking a Graphic & Web Designer for its New York office.

Headquartered in Midtown, Dada Entertainment, a joint venture owned 50% by SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT and 50% by Dada USA, offers the next generation web and mobile personalization and entertainment services, combining a wide variety of music content from full length audio and video tracks to ringtones, with a rich Web 2.0 and social networking experience.

Job description:
Design & create outstanding websites, interfaces & multimedia content; must be Adobe Creative Suite expert (including flash). XHtml, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax are a plus.

The Graphic & Web Design Guru will be the global leader and expert for designing next generation websites, web application user interfaces, and multimedia content to support the company’s expanding marketing efforts.

He/she defines and implements high-quality user interface designs including usability, visual standards, consistent user interaction models, solution integration, and intuitive navigation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Designs prototype and user interfaces for websites and applications
• Creates static and animated banner ads to promote the website, along with developing functional landing pages
• Works closely with interaction designers and developers to optimize user experience
• Works with potential web partners on any outsourced content creation
• Researches information and best practices to enhance value of designs
• Ensures consistency with corporate design and brand guidelines
• Participates in special projects or task forces as opportunities arise

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash)
• Good communication skills, works well in a collaborative/team environment
• Strong and proven track record of working on existing B2B and B2C
• Knowledge of browser compatibility issues, W3C standards, accessibility guidelines, optimization techniques
• Able to manage multiple projects at once with flexibility to change focus quickly as projects dictate.

• Hand-coding XHTML
