You come to the table with some experience under your belt. You love researching, creating, and delivering well thought out solutions to design problems. You catch color mismatches, single pixel misalignments, and cringe when you see poor kerning out in the wild. You know that good design is in the details but that the best design is the one that works. Bonus points if you can illustrate, animate, and are good with a camera.
Requirements (these are real, actual requirements):
- You must have at least two years of experience working in graphic design, preferably for marketing purposes.
- Experience working with strict, existing brand guidelines.
- Experience doing fast-paced production work.
- Experience designing for responsive web.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a professional environment.
- You must be willing to relocate to the Nashville area. This is a full-time, on location, job.
What Success Looks Like for You:
As a graphic designer at Renew Co. you’ll be a prized resource for our marketing department, churning out sales and promo creative, landing page assets, and print marketing and product collateral all while maintaining and moving our brands forward. As a member of the design team you’ll work alongside our UX/Creative Director to consistently improve the quality of visual design across all our brands.
You’ll make us sit in awe and wonder as we gaze upon the splendor of your campaign creative, so beautiful that we can barely speak while we impulsively click the Shop Now button ourselves. The marketing team will marvel at your ability to grasp concepts, user needs, and execute with an eye for detail. Other designers will praise you for your excellent file management, organized design deliverables, and general tidy etiquette.
You take direction well, enjoy helpful critique, and freely communicate with everyone involved in the process. You understand that great communication and excellent time management is foundational to your success.
You understand that the best design is the one that works for the business and the user. You prefer a results oriented, user-centered approach over the pursuit of your personal preference or any kind of self-centered design.
You don’t scoff at data but embrace it as part of what informs our decisions and our “gut instinct” when we sit down to craft a solution to a problem.
Finally, your success as a designer at Renew Co. hinges upon your ability to approach design as holistic problem solving for both the user and the business. We work collaboratively and openly here and you’ll enjoy the camaraderie found in sharing ideas, questions, and critiques. You know your stuff and can eloquently and logically explain your design decisions. You see this type of exchange as critical to the success of yourself and our company: it is through sharing ideas and being open to others that we arrive at the best solutions.
