Paper Tiger is seeking a freelance-to-hire Front End Web Developer to join us in building some really cool shit.

We are a growing, boutique digital agency that gets excited about unique ideas, projects and the passionate people behind them. We are art lovers, obsessive white-boarders, connectors, music enthusiasts, and members of the clean plate club. We are a family and friends only business. Technology is second nature to us. We are NOT geeks, workaholics, know-it-alls, big-timers, flakes or an overseas team. We do the work right here, we do it up right and we love every second of it!

Role: Front End Web Developer

We don’t care if you went to college or not. If you did, this job will help you pay off your student loan. Aside from that, we expect you to get your education on the “streets”. All that matters is the quality of your work and your ability to explain it to us and to our clients. With us you will make the work you’ve always wanted to make and have a great time doing so.

Responsibilities:

  • Use the latest web technologies to develop beautiful sites for mobile phones, tablets, and desktop browsers
  • Solve cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Develop interactive mobile web applications that work on mobile devices?
  • Optimize the front-end of sites to allow them to load faster and be more responsive
  • Transform our designs into living, breathing websites

Requirements:
  • Ability to write well-structured, well-documented, reusable code
  • Expertise in evolving technologies and best practices
  • Experience working under version control/Github
  • Working knowledge of ExpressionEngine and/or WordPress CMS
  • You live within driving distance of NJ. We are 20 miles from New York City. You will be expected to frequent our office and present to clients with us in NY.
