Front-End Web Developer/Multimedia Support Specialist
The California Teachers Association is seeking a talented and versatile assistant front-end web developer to join our team. We are looking for individuals who possess high level technical, creative, and communications skills with strong working knowledge of user-focused web applications.
Responsibilities include direct support of CTA’s web and multimedia projects:
• Assisting in the development of standards-compliant websites and blogs using XHTML and CSS.
• Building Flash applications.
• Using Photoshop to prepare photos for website use.
• Converting mock-ups of websites to a working webpage with valid codes.
• Conducting cross-browser testing and implementation.
• Creating, editing and proofreading various documents.
• A high level of independent judgment and initiative is required.
Requirements:
• Experience and strong knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Dreamweaver, Flash, Actionscript experience.
• Web-specific Photoshop experience.
• Sitecore, Magento, JQuery, Wordpress knowledge a plus.
• Experience with current and commonly used web trends, resources and multimedia concepts and practices.
• BA/BS and 1 year relevant experience or AA and three years relevant experience or 6 years relevant experience.
• The ability to work overtime as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person in CTA’s Burlingame office. This is an assistant level position and offers a starting salary of $5,665 – $6,084 per month based on a 35-hr week and a generous employer-paid Health and Welfare Benefits plan.
