Front End Developer
A boutique media brand is looking for a tested Front End Developer with Drupal chops to join their team. This gig isn’t for the faint of heart: they’re doing some seriously next-level stuff that hasn’t been done before with digital content. If you’re most comfortable in a static environment, you might want to pull the rip cord now. But if you’re looking to get in on something new and get your hands dirty, read on.
This is a small team that operates as a start-up within an established media brand. They’re working on the Next Big Thing in digital media experiences, and one of the first steps in that direction starts with you. You’ll work with an Agile team to build a digital properties in Drupal. Elevating aesthetics and functionality is a priority here, so you’ll work with UXers and designers to turn wireframes and visual design concepts into Drupal themes that run on clean, semantic code. These guys build fast, release fast, and iterate fast. If you come from an Agile shop, you’ll be right at home.
This role isn’t just about executing code, however. You’ll be working with several cross-functional teams, so communication is critical here. You’ll share knowledge and skills with your colleagues, and together you’ll elevate the entire team. If you’re the type of dev who prefers to put on headphones and grind out code in silence, this isn’t the gig for you.
One more thing: once you’ve built great content experiences for their suite of brands, you’ll start to work on a truly innovative experience that sits at the intersection of e-commerce and content. That’s all we can say for now, but it’s going to be big.
But then, you’re more than just a series of acronyms, aren’t you? You’re a thinker, a strategist, a builder–maybe you’re even a leader. You love to collaborate with colleagues, and you’ve got DREAMS, man. You want to build something that no one’s ever built before. You’ve been looking for an ownership gig where you can really stretch–and you just found it.
There’s a ton of upside here for growth and promotion. Bring your A-game and you might find yourself in a Tech Lead role sooner rather than later.
If you’re the star Front End Dev at your current gig, it might be time to think about free agency. We happen to know a great team that’s looking.
