Front-End Developer/Interactive Designer
Overview
Tagga Media seeks a front-end developer/interaction designer with a passion for mobile. The ideal candidate will be extremely strong with front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS as well as have a keen eye for and demonstrated ability in executing desktop and mobile designs. This position is responsible for conceptualizing and executing mobile marketing strategies for a broad range of top-tier brands.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Director of Client Services to recommend and execute mobile marketing campaign strategies in line with client goals.
Oversee and mentor Junior Developer/Designers as they execute on your projects.
Analyze user interface problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements.
Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and production-ready semantic markup and CSS.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a front-end developer/web designer or equivalent position.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.
Strong knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript).
Able to hand-code and troubleshoot semantic markup.
Acquainted with but not necessarily proficient in back-end technologies (PHP, MySQL and MVC frameworks)
Good design sense and strong grasp of design fundamentals; must be able to demonstrate work and code samples from multiple projects.
Strong understanding of common desktop and mobile usability and interaction principles and patterns (including knowing when not to use them).
Experience working and implementing mobile websites both responsively and natively.
Ability to troubleshoot compatibility across multiple platforms and browsers (including Blackberry 4.5+ and IE7+).
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or familiarity with lean software/agile methodologies.
Experience in the field of digital or mobile advertising.
Experience with mobile technologies like PhoneGap (Apache CallBack) or similar.
Experience building native applications for the three major platforms.
Ability to put up a decent challenge on the Foosball table. Please. The other new people are no good.
