Freelance Designers
We’ve had a lot of interest in Superhug dot com beta in the few weeks since the site went live. This is obviously great news and makes Team Superhug extremely proud and pleased. What we’re missing, however, is designs and themes and templates from the most talented of the design community to sell to the growing number of people following our progress on sites like Forrst, one thing and Twitter.
What we want Superhug to do is to bridge the gap between freelance websites and the kind of sites from which people can buy web designs for whatever CMS they’ve chosen. What you see is Superhug in beta form. We’ve been debugging our Ruby on Rails platform for a few weeks now and so far, so few bugs though that’s not unexpected when the site’s only getting several hundred hits a day! Now it’s time to crack on and engage some talented people to give us a try and benefit from our 75% commission rates. That 75% incidentally, is a number we hope to raise in favour of our designers once the site starts ticking over and making money.
Becoming known as a destination for quality, professionally-designed templates and themes as well as first class support is our mandate. We’re extremely keen to grow the brand organically/naturally – to borrow from the language of marketing – and to use word of mouth and the power of social media. That written, there is a Google adwords campaign underway and we have some friends who specialize in the kind of viral marketing that is in keeping with our corporate philosophy (keep it simple, Superhug). Superhug isn’t a whimsical plaything. This is what we do. We’d like you to do it with us. First we need your professionally-designed, standard-compliant website themes and templates for the world’s most popular open source Content Management Systems like WordPress, Magento, Expression Engine, Drupal, Tumblr and Joomla. We think creating and maintaining a stylish and functional website should be a simple and affordable process. Don’t you?
