Developer Advocate @ Atlassian, makers of JIRA
Do you love to code, but also love talking about the best way to do development? Are you that person in the office always trying to maximize your development workflow? Atlassian is looking for a trail blazer to bring developers up to speed on the best ways to adopt Distributed Version Control Systems (DVCS) using Atlassian tools. Atlassian has the leading Mercurial hosting site, Bitbucket, and DVCS optimized developer tools like Bamboo, FishEye and Crucible.
Your goal is to embed yourself into teams that use these products and be a megaphone for their learnings about DVCS. You will be the public face of Atlassian representing these products, speaking at conferences, on panels, at user groups, actively blogging & tweeting, engaging with developer press and bloggers and staying involved with development.
Why Product Marketing at Atlassian?
Let’s face it… Product marketing at most tech companies is a bunch of bogus paper pushing. At Atlassian, things are different! In fact – we rarely hire anyone with formal experience in product marketing. For the nitty-gritty marketing content, you will be our feet on the street. You will own the product positioning and the creative angles we use for representing the products. Your input will be key in determining product roadmap and product direction. As for launches and campaigns, you are the driver to get them off the ground. It’s technical, it’s analytical, and it’s a boatload of fun working with the sharpest product marketing team in tech.
Main Activities:
