C# .NET Front-End Software Developer - Server side development for new builds & legacy applications
ASRC Federal Vistronix is currently seeking several mid and senior level C#/.NET Developers to work on-site in the Washington DC/Metro area. We have locations in both Arlington and Sterling Virginia for these positions.
Client requires on-site work for these positions, positions are unable to be performed remotely. Minimum of an Interim Secret security clearance is required to begin work on contract.
Front-end and mid-tier focus with a mix of server side development for combination of new builds as well as legacy applications client support
Perform Server-side development using C#, ASP.Net (Windows Forms) within MVC, nHibernate frameworks
Utilize WCF-type builds for web services as well
Utilize SQL Server on back-end
Able to interface with ESRI-GIS environments, data for web-service development
Participate in requirements definition to ensure development team has all necessary information
Participate as a project team member for functional application areas (and help provide input on planning)
Support multiple project/client needs as needed to stay aware of team needs, upcoming schedules, long-term support and new build processes in support of our federal, state government and commercial clients
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field along with demonstrated professional experience
Minimum 5+ years in .Net design with combined focus on front-end development with mix of mid-tier applications
Experience working with WCF framework for web services, server-side development (inversion control, dependency injection, ORM, Entity-LINQ framework, nHibernate)
Experience using C# and ASP.Net within MVC framework
Working knowledge of version control within TFS, Git, Hg, etc.
Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS toolkits and related interfaces/data types
Familiar with IIS, Visual Studio design
Must work well in a team environment and be flexible as workloads and priorities change.
Understanding of WPF/presentation layer for desktop services
Understanding of 508 compliance, WCAG 1.0-2.0, etc.
Awareness of SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), Business Intelligence concepts
