Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and test interactive Web pages and applications using established and emerging Web standards and technologies. Manage Web programmer to maintain the college’s content management system and implement necessary backend systems. Manage and “nurture” the college’s Web 2.0/community applications (blogs, forums, gallery). Maintain the college’s search engine appliance (Google). Provide leadership on Web technologies the college should be using.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; proficiency in writing and editing valid HTML/XHTML, CSS, and PHP as demonstrated by samples of completed projects; familiarity with dynamic page generation technologies; familiarity with SQL; familiarity with Web 2.0 tools and other emerging or established Web technologies, such as RSS and blogs; experience developing Web sites that operate consistently on multiple platforms and browsers; demonstrated proficiency meeting ADA-accessibility requirements; two years related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM); experience working in a higher education environment; basic Windows and/or Unix server administration experience; familiarity with XML, XSLT, ASP, JQuery or JavaScript; working knowledge of Macintosh and Windows platforms; experience preparing and embedding audio, video, and Flash in Web sites; three years related work experience.
