Interactive Art Director/Senior Web Designer for Clorox Creative’s Digital Group

This position requires being on-site on a daily basis.

Clorox Creative’s Digital Group is a interactive design and development team that strives to build amazing web experiences. Comprised of talented individuals who have brought their experiences from the agency and startup side to build a internal team that can produce stunning visuals, world class code and has a startup vibe. Working across all 30+ Clorox owned brands Clorox Creative’s Digital Group is responsible for designing and building web sites, online marketing campaigns, email newsletters and many other digital marketing touch points. The work environment is fun, challenging and the hours are reasonable.

The Clorox Creative interactive art director will be responsible for creative concepts, design execution, art directing our design team and working closely with our content team. A strong background in design, typography and branding is required with a deep understanding of web technologies and best practices. We are looking for candidates that can push our team creatively but also keep important aspects of web design such as SEO and web standards in mind. Strong leadership skills are required and you need to be able to inspire our team to continually improve their work. Must be able to present creative concepts to both our internal team and to our clients. Candidates should take a strategic approach to projects, always looking for ways to improve ideas and think how to better the end result.

Requirements
Impressive design portfolio with 5+ years interactive design experience and 2+ years of interactive art direction experience
Experienced in strategic brainstorming, campaign development and creative execution
Leadership qualities and strong communication skills
Display initiative in leading projects and continually striving to make improvements
Strong presentation skills, multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
Information Architecture skills: ability to think through user experience and build easy-to-use user interfaces
Mastery of Photohop, Illustrator, InDesign and Flash
Thorough understanding of modern standards compliant HTML and CSS
Understanding of JavaScript to be able to communicate features to our dev team
Comfortable working with a development team in a PHP environment
Experience developing for modern browsers and degrading sites gracefully for older ones
